The forests in Indonesia are mostly tropical rainforests, filled with various types of tall trees and a warm climate, one of which is the Kemuning Forest. This forest is located in the lowlands of Central Java and is collaboratively managed by Perhutani together with the Forest Village Community Institution. This research aims to understand the perception and participation of the community in the management of Kemuning Forest in Kemuning Village, Bejen District, Temanggung Regency, Central Java. The research was conducted in the Kemuning Forest area in June 2024, using qualitative methods with a sample of 35 community members and forest managers. Data was collected through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using the Likert Scale. The results show that the community has good perception and participation in forest management, as indicated by the analysis results falling into the "good" category.
